Founded in 1918 as the Normandy and became the CNP Opéra from 1970 to 1975. It showed X-rated from 1976 to 1980 before switching back to art-house in 1983 and becoming one of the city’s quality cinemas, showing retrospectives and major classics. It is still linked with Le Cinéma, in impasse Saint-Polycarpe.
