Opened in 1988 and run by the community group Son Image Rencontres Fidésiennes (SIRF). It caters for more than 30,000 filmgoers a year, a third of them children, and every two years since 1998 has held an African film festival which drew more than 10,000 people in 2008. The cinema will move to a new site nearby in 2012 that will have two modern auditoriums seating 200 and 80 people. It shows quality films and hosts several discussion events monthly, featuring distinguished film or other guests.
